Friday Night Sweetheart Desserts
This year’s Lodge Sweetheart and Red Pig Chairman, Dana Henderson, is bringing back the Friday Night Sweetheart Desserts (every 4th Friday of the month). This will be served to you after the kitchen is closed. Each dessert will cost $1.00. We will be looking for volunteers to donate a dessert whenever possible. That’s about 40 desserts needed over the next year!.

Please call Dana at 832-385-9586 if you would like to bring a dessert - she can really use your help. So, get out your best recipes, and thank you for supporting your Lodge Sweetheart!

Red Pig Program
The purpose of the “Red Pig” is to generate funds for the children of Ottine (our State project) along with the Sweetheart activities. We fill the Pigs in our Lodge, which is great, but we need to also reach out to the Community for their support wherever possible. Each Lodge member can receive one of our Red Pigs to fill themselves, or bring them to your work or a business that will allow you to leave it to collect donations, therefore, getting the community involved.

Start filling them up now, and start thinking about how you’d like to decorate your Red Pig because we will have a Pig Race on January 30, 2011! Thank You for the Support!

Penny Raffle
We have started a money making project for “Pennies From Heaven”. Our goal is to reach $844.70, which is a mile of pennies. Each Texas Elks Lodge is asked to reach this goal each year. A Penny Raffle is a good money-making project that may take weeks, or a couple of months to sell out. There will be a great item raffled off that will interest a lot of people. Plus, there will also be three “Mystery Prizes”. Please see Lodge Bulletin Board or Home Club tables for more info. Thank you for the support of the Red Pig Program.
